Selecting Text and CLICKING Permanently Removes Text

Bug Description
It seems a prior bug has resurfaced, with a slightly different behavior now. (This is *not* a duplicate of gtk#1447)
**Version:** 3.32.1-2
**OS:** Ubuntu MATE 19.04
In the email composer window, if you select text in the body, and *click* anywhere else in the composition pane, the text you selected is sometimes permanently deleted (cannot be accessed from undo).
When this happens, the undo history itself is mangled, so pressing Ctrl+Z will try to "undo" as if the text were still there, meaning intentionally deleted text will be inserted in strange places, etc.
This can be a bit unpredictable. For example, if you change the style of text (Normal/
1. Open a new Compose window.
2. Type some text in the body.
3. Using the mouse, select some text.
4. Click elsewhere in the composition pane.
Be advised, **modifier keys, arrow keys, or clicking outside the composer window do NOT cause the text to be deleted.**
