Nightly MODEDIT : not export from menu File/export

I had previously reported that the menu in question did not work.
Ok it has been fixed BUT ONLY the look and feel, now the item is enabled but nothing is exported, there is not even a requester to ask where to save.

How to reproduce it?
Simple edit a footprint that you have on the pcb and try to export it ...

I would like to emphasize that there is still the problem of submenus that appear as lines and generate the usual error...

I'm not seeing the menu rendering issue but the export function is definitely broken in both master and 5.1 branches.

Code has diverged too much for a cherry-pick, but it's a simple fix.
