Bug Description
I̲s̲s̲u̲e̲:̲
When adding text (silk, copper, mask, etc..) there is only one available font: the default engraving font (IMHO, not really a nice one).
R̲a̲t̲i̲
Because KiCad is getting known from more and more tinkerer, doing trinkets without enclosure (the product is the bare PCB itself), it would be nice to have custom font available to improve the final finish of the PCB, with fancy labels and custom texts on the silk screen.

An option to select any system font for text, on any layer, and correct plotting feature.
W̲o̲r̲k̲
create a PNG file (eg from Inkscape) with some text with your custom font, then convert it to a footprint with the bitmap to component converter, edit the resulting footprint to select the correct layer with a text editor, then import footprint (or add it to a empty component to the Eeschema or it will be removed at the text import).
But this is not acceptable as it requires lot of steps, and is not easily resizable and the layer cannot be selected.
note: the V6 roadmap announce custom font for Eeschema only.
