Bug Description

I tried to start up Wireshark on my Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS system. I have a set of docker containers runnign with virtual networks setup. I think some of the containers are restarting frequently at presnet, causing churn in my device list. When try to start a capture, or even select a port to capture on Wireshark seemed very slow to respond and crashed before I could successfully start a capture.

bug450195 was suggested as a possible match for this but it is quite old with a fix supposedly released so I am opening a new ticket.

Wireshark upstream dropped support for the GTK UI. Could you you please check if you see the crash with the Qt UI, too? It is in the wireshark-qt package.
