Bug Description

The new generation of audio plug-in library (successor of LADSPA) should be packages in ubuntustudio.

some applications like ingen and zynjacku will use it.

I think that the exiting plug-in should also be packaged :
* SWH http://plugin.org.uk/lv2/
* ll-plugins http://ll-plugins.nongnu.org/
* zynadd http://home.gna.org/zyn/

Just for clarification... These are the steps to add a working LV2 "environment":

1. Add LV2 libs (this bug)
2. Add LV2 host(s) like zynjacku (LP #183113) and/or ingen. Necessary for the plugins to work properly.
3. Add LV2 plugins like the ones mentioned above. zynadd (or actually zyn) is already requested (LP #183113)

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

This should really be addressed. I've tried the swh LV2 plugins in Ardour 2.8.3 (compiled from source) and they are great on the interface front.

Another note: there is a 3.0 version of lv2core which is now almost a year old, see http://lv2plug.in/spec. The lv2core package provided in Ubuntu is 1.0, and the comments above only mention 2.0.

Marking this catch-all bug as Fix Released because there is now lv2core 3.0, slv2, invada plugins, and lv2dynparam all in the Lucid repositories. The essence of this bug is a request for lv2 libraries and plugins (both of which now exist in Lucid). Other programs are mentioned here, but separate needs-packaging bugs should be filed on those.
