Bug Description

Binary package hint: tsclient

When I open tsclient, depending on what the last state of the "bitmap caching" checkbox was, it opens with the opposite. In other words, if I check the box and close it, then when I open it, the box will be unchecked. But if I uncheck the box and close it, when I re-open it the box is checked. Is this a bug or is something screwy on my installation?

Gutsy AMD 64
tsclient 0.148
rdesktop 1.5.0

I've partially applied the patch provided by Trifon against the latest Jaunty tsclient-0.150-1ubuntu6 source. It was not clear to me what the modification to the support.c file was doing, so I left out that bit. I've attached the newer debdiff that I've made. I've also uploaded a test package to my ppa:

https://edge.launchpad.net/~leannogasawara/+archive/ppa

My own informal testing here seems successfuly but it would be great to get feedback from others. Please let us know your results. Thanks.

Hi Leann, can you report this debdiff upstream to GNOME.

I'll try to get this upstream. It would be good though if anyone here who had this issue could test and confirm this is resolved with this patch (ie test the package in my PPA). Thanks.

I was told it would be better if I fixed the patch to be in a CDBS format so that it would land in the debian/patches directory in the package - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Complete#CDBS with Simple Patchsys (Example Package: pmount)

I also had the version incorrect for my original debdiff, it should be tsclient_0.150-1ubuntu6~lp183076. I've attached an updated debdiff. I'll be removing the incorrect version from my PPA and then push this new one. Thanks.

Bah, my original versioning was correct. Reattaching and re-uploading to PPA.

I can confirm that this patch works. I tried it on two machines running Ubuntu 9.04.
