Bug Description

Binary package hint: tiemu

I use tiemu version 2.00. Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 alpha 3, occurs in both. No shrinking occurs if i disable desktop effects, any level of desktop effects makes this happen. it is also the only program that does it. tiemu is started from the command line, don't know if that affects it.

Update: i installed version 3.02 on 8.04 alpha 3 and it works with desktop effects enabled. however if i adjust the size of the window it begins to shrink to the smallest possible window size again. The program is usable until trying to resize.

I have also noticed this annoying bug. A fix would be greatly appreciated.

I can confirm that this problem happens only when Visual Effects are enabled (at any level). So I just turn off Visual Effects in System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects->*None. Then I just turn them back on when I'm done.

Nifty program, especially cool that there's a GPL version of the ROMs!

I can also verify that this bug is persistent for:
tiemu v3.02 with a Ti89 titanium ROM under Ubuntu 11.04

Note: I'm booting into the gnome desktop instead of the default unity desktop, and I'm also using Compiz window manager which allows me to use CTRL+ALT+[numpad 4 or numpad 6] to make any window orient to the left or right hand side of the screen, and as long as I don't try to resize tiemu in any way (either through any of its preferences or by click-dragging its window) then the CTRL+ALT+[numpad option] seems to allow tiemu to remain full size to one side of the screen.

However it doesn't sit next to the edge of the screen like it should, and if I try to move it it might try to edge snap to fill the screen in which case the bug takes over and it shrinks to its smallest size and CTRL+ALT+numpad6 doesn't work again until I close the program and reopen it.

That version has died long ago; no more supported
