Systray icon in i3wm not responding to clicks

Bug Description
Hello,
Running on opensuse tumbleweed, with shutter-0.94-1.6 on i3-4.16.1-1.1.
Some time ago (months), the systray icon stopped responding to clicks. Therefore, it is not possible to summon the main shutter view for example, and cannot be used to take any screenshot that way.
There is no related message at startup or during execution. I am attaching the startup results.
The other systray icon that I have besides shutter work fine (e.g. networkmanager, clipit).
