lazarus does not install lcl automatically

Bug Description

I installed lazarus-ide but when I tried to compile the sample project that is loaded when I start, it said:
Fatal: Can't find unit interfaces used by project1

but then I installed
apt-get install lcl-qt5 lcl-utils lcl-units lcl-nogui

and now I can compile.

Should not those packages be automatically installed by default?

The lazarus-ide package only contains the IDE, if you do:

apt install lazarus

you'll get the complete suite.

Changed in lazarus (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
