Acer Aspire Travelmate 5335 after opening lid black screen and freeze occurs

2) Did this issue start to happen with your Acer TravelMate 5335 after an update? If so, which one precisely?

3) To see if this is already resolved in Ubuntu, could you please test the latest x64 (not 32-bit) version of Ubuntu via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?

IT WAS SET TO "DO NOTHING" . I TRIED "SUSPEND" IT IS WORKING

I tested with latest x64 version but there is no option for lid close ??

It suspends when closing lid . But 16.04 also working properly if it selected "suspend"

Long press the shutdown icon or press ALT, it'll change to suspend.

There is no problem with suspend. I want to choose " when lid closed do nothing" I want that apps running on background when lid closed.

I TRIED ON LATEST OS BUT THERE'S NO OPTION AS " DO NOTHING " ON LID OPTIONS
