Adding swap as format for disks

Is it possible to add the option for formatting a disk as "swap"? We would like to add swap through CC, but there isn't an option for swap.

I was told that usually the swap disk won't be a problem as we usually use VDISK

or to confirm, you want to format the disk with swap format, right? e.g I can add a root disk, add a ephemeral disk as ext4 and a swap disk, right?

We have our systems with 2 vdisk as the 2 first swap devices, there is a 3rd one on disk. This is best practice for linux servers on Z. Depending how much memory there is on a LPAR, we decide how big the vdisks are. But we have always a 3rd one on disk, and that one depends on memory for the server. We make servers for Oracle Databases and during install/patching and sometimes due to more connections there is more memory necessary.
So we want to make this 3rd disk with cc with the option to format with swap.

ok, it seems not hard to add the 'swap' into white list, but I don't know whether I can do thorough test due to other work (actually the functions are already there just need enable them from API layer), so will you be able to give a try and provide some feedback? Thanks

We can test, no problem. If it works it's ok, and it not, we have to use still the extra step we make now to make it a swap disk, so no problem at all.
