Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. Hi, I don't know if that's correct because in Ubuntu 18.10 I had no issue, I will provide more information once I'll get on my PC

Daniel, I don't believe this bug report is a duplicate of the bug you mentioned. After upgrading from 18.10 to 19.04, I see the same issue where I have my expected background when I login, and after I resume from sleep my background is a solid white or black colour. I cannot change the background if I try via the settings menu.

I do not experience any of the graphical issues mentioned in the bug you linked. The desktop, browser and applications are totally normal apart from not having the background I set for my lock screen and desktop.

In that case we should just generalize bug 1809407. Because it's a pretty consistent problem I see reported from multiple Nvidia users.
