Why would you need to do that? If you really need to clear it, why not edit the config file directly?

So, let's consider that I work before with 20 projects. The main folder where they are placed is renamed. I this situation all 20 projects which are displayed in the recent list will not work and I need to remove them.
I don't know how to edit config file directory, please give me a bit help.

A smarter move than clearing the history of "Open recent" would be to check if file is available?

@devs, a UI design preference question.

When the list is empty, what do we want the behavior of the menu to be? I see two possibilities:

1) Disable (but not remove) the menu entry in the main file menu, so that the menu can't be opened and it appears as grayed out.

2) Make a disabled entry in the file list that says "No files" that is only shown where there are no files.

I am leaning towards option 1, since I think it looks cleaner. Right now the menu is just empty (so on GTK it looks terrible because it is long and skinny), so whatever we do will be an improvement.

@Ian, for some things which aren't clear (like unfold bus when the bus definition doesn't parse) we do include the "No whatever" entry.

But I don't think it's necessary in this case so I'd also lean toward (1).
