Demonstrated using qdirstat. Similar behavior in k4dirstat, the qt desktop menu of retroarch, gnu octave. In qdirstat, it wants to select the cells when I click on one of them. In retroarch it likes to select the text on the welcome screen as well. In the boxes to the right, the file name doesn't display until I move my mouse after I click on one of them. In octave my mouse wants to highlight the welcome text. These issues do not appear while the synaptics touchpad driver is installed, so libinput may be the culprit.
The wine version of WinDirStat works fine with either input driver.

Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
xserver-xorg-input-libinput 0.27.1-1
libqt5gui5 5.9.5+dfsg-0ubuntu2
qdirstat 1.4-2

There is another potentially unrelated issue I've been having, which also doesn't appear when using the synaptics driver, in which when I click on one of my created bookmarks on the left side of nautilus, my mouse appears to automatically drag the bookmark, as if I wanted to move it to a new location, much like how it drags the cells or text in qt, but in gtk.

None of these issues appear when I log in using Ubuntu Wayland.
