Bug Description
I am unable to login in non-graphic terminal (e.g. tty1) ending with "Login incorrect" all the time because password prompt does not wait for user input.
Steps to reproduce:
1) switch to non-graphical terminal (tty1) with CTRL+ALT+F1
2) you see prompt for login ("login:")
3) type-in user login -> ENTER
4) you see password prompt ("password:")
5) try to type password... what you see is that it behaves as just as if you pressed ENTER before actually typing all the passwords characters
6) this repeats automatically 5 times and then screen is automatically reset with blank login prompt
I do not know since when this has occured, but it is VERY SERIOUS bug - if something happens in my X (tty7), I am unable to kill or manage it :/
What might be wrong?
