Bug Description

Gimp crashed on trying to close it (used in single-window mode).

Beforehand, the "David's Batch Processor" add-on (the official Ubuntu package) was used for batch-resizing of images and, which is unusual for it, reported issues several times during processing. (Something like "could not attach..." or so in a pop-up window.) Although the reported issue did not seem to have impact on the results. The "David's Batch Processor" was quit before trying to close Gimp.

Thank you for reporting this bug. Since this was reported against a version of gimp included in a now end-of-life version of Ubuntu, please try to reproduce this bug using a more recent version of Ubuntu, and comment on this bug as to whether or not this bug still occurs.

You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time. Your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

It would help us a lot if you could test on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once in a terminal:

Ubuntu 18.10 (cosmic) reached end-of-life on July 18, 2019.

and then change the status of the bug back to "New".

I have just got this bug again for the first time after a long while, after having played around with the David's Batch Processor plugin of the gimp-plugin-registry package while reporting the bug #2044581.
