Bug Description

After installing a cups-update today I realized that printing via cups-lpd was impossible.
To print via cups-lpd I use 'openbsd-inetd' which ist activated via this entry in /etc/inetd.conf:

'printer stream tcp nowait lp /usr/lib/cups/daemon/cups-lpd cups-lpd -o document-format=application/octet-stream'

This line was commented out after the cups update by putting '#<off>#' in front of it.
It happens in Feisty as well as in Gusty.

Possible solution was found:

execute 'dpkg-reconfigure cupsys-bsd' and set from default <no> to <yes>.

Conclusion: this configuration was automatically set during installation of either the system or the update
(there was no choice offered during installation). Documentation on this matter is missing.

'man cups-lpd' tells me:

DESCRIPTION
cups-lpd is the CUPS Line Printer Daemon ("LPD") mini-server that sup‐
ports legacy client systems that use the LPD protocol. cups-lpd does
not act as a standalone network daemon but instead operates using the
Internet "super-server" inetd(8) or xinetd(8). If you are using inetd,
add the following line to the inetd.conf file to enable the cups-lpd
       mini-server:

printer stream tcp nowait lp /usr/lib/cups/daemon/cups-lpd cups-lpd \
               -o document-format=application/octet-stream

But the entry in /etc/inetd.conf is commented out at every cups update that is coming from update repository. In front of that line #<off># is put.

My whish: just do not disable cups-lpd at every update/install of cups packages.
