Tries to connect before the network is ready

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

I have Pidgin started at login, but it seems to be running a bit to fast for my network connection. Often when I login Pidgin complains that it can't connect to one or another of the protocols I use. When I re-enable the account it connects flawlessly. This is why I assume that it's just being impatient.

Also I think it is silly and a waste of system resources that Pidgin starts in full mode when there is no functioning network available.

Pidgin should wait for a 'network ready' event before trying to connect.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

Basically this is still happening in that Pidgin still tries to connect when there is no network. But my own networking is working faster now. I'll come back if I see this again.
