Bug Description

Hi,

There was a bug in libmicrodns that caused VLC media player to segfault while hovering over the "renderer" menu to cast media to a chromecast, that was fixed in Debian.

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=893284

It happens for me when I'm connected to a VPN and I hover over the menu. Since it was fixed in Debian, is it possible for the fix to be backported to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?

Thanks

This issue has to be fixed in Ubuntu's version of libmicrodns. No change in vlc is required.

For me this happens without hovering over any menu, it's enough to start VLC from the command line with "vlc" for it to crash in libmicrodns. Please, backport a working version to Ubuntu 18.04.
