web client: OPAC view not automatically updated after MARC edit

In the xul client after you saved edits to the MARC record, the screen reverted to a refreshed view of the record in the OPAC with the changes. This does not happen in the web client (version 3.1.8); the view of the OPAC record is not refreshed. You have to refresh the screen to see the changes, which adds time to workflow, especially if you are editing a series of records because upon refresh you lose your set of search results.

Noting that in the Angular Staff Catalog (the default for 3.6+) appears to re-fetch the Patron View every time the Patron View tab is selected, therefore showing up to date data every time.

Unless someone is specifically working on this for the traditional catalog, I recommend this bug be closed.

Since a year has passed since I made this comment with no further remarks, I'm marking this won't fix.

Noting that bug 1910452 committed for 3.7.2 and 3.6.5 moves the Patron View tab to a Patron View button - this button opens a new browser tab with the OPAC view loaded.
