Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
After more than a dozen attempts, and while some others do not appear to be having the same problem as me, I am stumped. Before pidgin - Gaim would allow the addition of AIM and Yahoo buddies. Both would show. My list was transfered to the new pidgin application and from that point on Yahoo buddies ceased to exist - it shows them as offline. These are known buddies they have already approved me in the past. With the help of wabz on #pidgin in IRC, I added his yahoo handle and he reported that he didn't even receive an authorization request to add me. This doesn't make sense as during the install of pidgin all the correct URI's for AIM Yahoo, MSN, etc.. were appropriately added.
