owncloud-client running on GNOME asks to open kdewallet every time and always fails

Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu 18.10. When I start owncloud-client, it always asks for the password to open kdewallet (see screenshot 01.png). No matter what password I give, it can never open (see screenshot 02.png).

A workaround is to run KWalletManager, which says "The wallet is currently closed" and click "Open" there. After that owncloud-client starts without asking for the password.

The expected behaviour for me would be that owncloud-client does not ask to connect to kwallet at all, since I'm running GNOME. But if it does, it should at least be able to actually open kwallet.

Sorry, it was a mistake. I actually used the wrong password...
