system locks when i unhide kopete

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete

When I unhide kopete from the system tray the system locks, only responding to sysrq. It doesnt do it every time, just randomly it seems. Im using the intel gfx driver and compiz with AIGLX if it helps.

Please try to obtain a backtrace following the
instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash
and upload the backtrace (as an attachment) to the bug report.

Also include an strace if possible. This will greatly help us in
tracking down your problem.

In addition, Please try to obtain a valgrind log following the instructions
at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind and attach the file to the
bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

Hi, thanks for the reply, how can I get a backtrace etc.. when my system locks up? I'm new to debugging, sorry.

If you attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old on the login after the crash it should contain the info.
