Bug Description

Binary package hint: wammu

I've been trying to get wammu to connect to my Nokia 6086 via bluetooth using wammu package version 0.24-3 on Ubuntu Hardy. However, when I went through the Guided configuation it failed when testing the connection to my phone.

I choose the following:

1) Guided
2) Bluetooth
3) Nokia phone
4) Nokia proprietary protocol
5) Phonet over bluetooth

I then entered the address of my phone which is already paired with the desktop and wammu indicated a phone was not found.

Hello Brian,

try the latest packages (Gammu 1.18) from Michal Čihař PPA repository (wammu developer and manteiner) :

https://launchpad.net/~nijel/+archive/

And you can file a bug in https://bugs.cihar.com (wammu, gammu bug tracking system), Michal is a very responsive developer ;-)

I've gone through the source code a bit, upstream and Ubuntu's latest package, and don't think the Nokia 6086 is supported at all nor was it with 1.13.0.

Changed package to gammu, which is the right source.
Marked invalid, because it's fixed in hardy version 1.18.90
