Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Running application gmsh (OpenGL) causes system crash (hard reboot required).
This has happened on every occasion, after varying (but very short) amounts of time.

Have run the application on one occasion with DRI disabled, and no crash occurred (though application became unbearably slow).

in xorg.0.log there is a line "space: 129768 wanted 131064" which looks like a possible cause.

last part of xorg.0.log is as follows (complete log attached separately):

Duh, the OP already had the tail end listed. Sorry about that.

Andrew, unfortunately the debug output doesn't appear to include a backtrace. Could you follow the troubleshooting directions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/ to obtain a detailed backtrace?

After another search, it appears that this may be the same as bug #160309.

Should this be marked as a duplicate?
