Bug Description

3D viewer shows the board fine. But when exporting the step I get the following output:

I believe both tools should be consistent. If one works, the other should work too.

Executing '"/usr/bin/kicad2step" --no-virtual --drill-origin -f -o "/home/lheck/Dropbox/deepx/HOMEBASE/hardware-misc/blue-gecko-radio-plate-rpi/plate.step" "/home/lheck/Dropbox/deepx/HOMEBASE/hardware-misc/blue-gecko-radio-plate-rpi/plate.kicad_pcb"'

Thanks. The outline is not closed. Here is the top left corner

I'm going to set this to a 6.0 item as we will be looking at merging the step export into the kicad application where we will have more control over the elements.

In the meantime, you can drag the endpoints and they should snap together.

Changed in kicad:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
milestone: none → 6.0.0-rc1

Yes sure, the fix was easy.

It is working for me, but 3D viewer and the step export weren't using the same process because it was working on 3D viewer.

Aligning this for 6.0 will good Seth! Thanks.
