Software updater lists NO software to be updated but says "updated software is available"

Bug Description
Software updater pops up (as normal) saying "updated software is available for this computer", but the "Details of Updates" section is blank. See screenshot attached.
This is possibly a security risk as if I press "Install Now", I will be installing unknown packages, which I am not keen to do.

PS. I have subsequently updated using apt-get update && apt-get upgrade. This was the output:
