Scaling page or unlinking symbols messes up placement and symbol scale

When automatically resizing the page to its content, all symbols are messed up.

A similar mess up happens when unlinking all symbols after placement.

When the symbols are unlinked, placed and the page is then rescaled... Everything works as expected.

I'm wondering about the source of these symbols... there are viewbox attributes to symbols in the file that are not found in other symbol files.

I cannot duplicate the issue with stock symbols.

What kind of attributes do you meant exactly? Do you think that everything works if I remove them?

I can't say that *everything* will work, but the scale and position seem to work properly when the viewbox attributes are removed.

You can try with the modified symbol file, but PLEASE NOTE: use a new document... if unmodified symbol defs with the same ID exist, additional symbols from another source having the same ID will use the existing symbol def. IOW, don't mix symbols from the earlier symbol file with the modified symbol file, or even in the same document as deleted earlier symbols (unless the document is cleaned after deleting the original symbols).

Thank you. This seems to fix my issues. I opened a PR at https://github.com/Xaviju/inkscape-open-symbols/pull/100 for the removal of the viewBox.

However, is this still a bug in inkscape? Or is it simply a weird, but expected behaviour?
