I was able to duplicate this defect while selecting text in this PDF file:

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040x.pdf

I have a (bad? - since it crashed evince) habit of selecting text in whatever I'm reading so that if I get distracted and come back I'll know where I left off. This crash occurred as I was doing just that.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to duplicate it since.

By the way, (not sure if this is relevant, but both windows crashed so maybe) at the time I had two PDF documents open. It was also this one:

Did it for me, I was randomly selecting/Clicking things as a distraction while reading, so doing repeated select/unselect movements.

This was a difficult issue to recreate to begin with. Every time I try
to to make it happen again, I can not make it crash.

I will reply again if I come up with a reliable way to recreate this.

I have encountered this bug many times. I have the habit og rapidly clicking text while reading to get focus on the part I'm reading. I was about to report a new bug using apport, but I saw there was a bug report already so I subscribe to this one. If there's something I can do to help please let me know. I will most likely be able to reproduce this bug seeing as I have encountered it at least ten times the past few months. I don't think what kind of pdf document really matters, and if one crashes all evince windows will always close aswell.
