Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

compiled new kernel, crashed on boot. how should _i_ know if its "one of the following bugs ...." ?
That's not an answer i cant give and non-programmers wont be either.
So what value is asking that question ?
Does a normal person know what a "signal 5" means ?

fromport, thanks for reporting this bug. You don't need all the information to fix the bug; reporting is an important step. :) However, if the reporting is frustrating, maybe downgrading from a development release would be good? 8.04 is still rough, and is mostly available for exactly this type of bug testing and reporting. :)

Is this a duplicate of bug #187476? I seem to be getting a few signal 5 crashes from various applets. (See bug #187938 and bug #187937.)
