I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) reached end-of-standard-support on May 31, 2023 and...

with no comment for almost five years I'll close this as 'Invalid'.
