Bug Description

Integration tests are failing due to gicon regression in glib >= 2.58.

See:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/issues/1513

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/merge_requests/72

As suggested in that upstream, the probable fix: lp:~khurshid-alam/indicator-sound/gicon-regression-fix

But even with it fails a particular section of the test: micSlider test in PhoneTestExternalMicInOut and DesktopTestExternalMicInOut.

I disabled these two in
lp:~khurshid-alam/indicator-sound/disable-failed-tests,

but it's better that we fix these tests than disabling it.

I'm confused, what exactly is it that needs sponsoring?

Ah, sorry, I am supposed to propose a merge, but there are some issues. Can you ask Trevinho to look at this?

Unsure the glib behaviour change can be described as 'regression' and that they plan to change the behaviour, the test here should be adapted rather than commented out
