Bug Description

After upgrading to kernal 4.15.0-36.39~16.04.1 this morning (2018-10-02) I am no longer able to communicate with remote repos using ssh keys. Reverting back to the previous kernal ( 4.15.0-34.37~16.04.1 ) fixes this issue.

Git version is 2.19.0

1) Description: Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS
   Release: 16.04

2) Unsure of the specific package that is the issue. There is something different between the two kernals mentioned. The latest kernal is causing the issue.

3) When performing any git commands that require communication with the remote I expect that I will get some communication back from the remote about the success or failure of the request.

4) What actually happens is any action that requires interaction with the remote simply hangs indefinitely. There is no success or failure. It simply hangs until I kill the process with crtl+c.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.19 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
