Meson package broken: AttributeError: module 'mesonbuild.mesonmain' has no attribute 'main'

Bug Description

It seems that the meson package is broken on 18.10 beta: if you install it an then try to run it, you get this error:

$ meson -v
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/meson", line 29, in <module>
    sys.exit(mesonmain.main())
AttributeError: module 'mesonbuild.mesonmain' has no attribute 'main'

Never mind, the problem was having meson installed in my local user also with pip: after removing the pip meson and reinstalling the repository meson it worked.

This can be closed.

The problem was not caused by the repository package.
