fcitx pull down manual from panel icon malfunction

Bug Description
The pull-down menu from pressing input method icon is buggy. There is no submenu on click for the items such as virtual keyboard, input method, background (from chinese translation). Say, the submenu items for input methods such as fcitx-cangjie5 etc do not show up on click. Therefore changing input method can only be done by shortcut key.
In addition, it is weird that when press restart (translated) option on the menu, another menu with different arrangement of menu items show up which look function normally. But the input method icon on the top panel disappear.
Also if fcitx is chosen as primary input option and the ibus option is not completely removed from system i.e. ibus together with all ibus-table, ibus icon will show up in the top panel with no function. Vice versa, if i remove all the ibus installation, when i go to setup --locale and language, it always prompt me to complete the installation for the chosen language by reinstalling ibus including ibus-table and other related packages.
There is no problem for inputting chinese with keyboard shortcut key. But the bug is simply annoying. This bug have been seen since older unity ubuntu version.
