Bug Description
When the desktop environment (MATE in my case) is in Turkish, launching HexChat from the Applications > Internet menu results in 4 error windows being opened. These windows read "Error, invalid argument $", please see the attached screenshot. Other than that HexChat just works fine, you just have to click OK to close those windows. When MATE is in French or in English, there are no error windows.
Ubuntu version: 18.04.1 amd64. HexChat version: 2.14.1-2.
