there is also error msg when i click on addons in tools menu.i have enclose a snap of that

Thanks for taking the time to report your problem. I don't think this is really a bug, though. You'll find that "preferences" is under the "edit" menu in Linux versions of Firefox. If you are seeing a repeatable problem with Tools->add-ons please file a separate bug for that.

It's under the "Edit" menu, for consistency with most GNOME and other GNU/Linux apps.
