Bug Description

1. Open this URL in Firefox (2.0.0.11):
http://www.freemap.jp/africa/img/africa_kouiki_all/2.gif
2. Click the image once to make sure it's rendered in it's natural full resolution (not scale to fit the page).
3. Print the image

Expected:
Firefox should print the image

Actual:
Firefox prints a cropped version of the image which only contains the currently visible portions of the image (I can't see Iran for instance, not on the screen and not on the paper; but if I scroll I can see it on the screen of course).

Notes: My ubuntu version is gutsy gibbon and my screen resolution is 1280x800.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I have you same resolution and firefox version, and I get the same behaviour fo your one.
Anyway, I'm unsure this is really a bug, since it could be an expected beahviour. I'll set the status to incomplete; in the meantime, I suggest you to report this bug on bugzilla (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/). If you do so, please link the bug here clicking on "Also affects distribution" (left side pane)

I experience this problem despite having this option checked (i.e. "scale to fit page")

Please note the thing I wrote about the "image resize to original resolution". Just viewing the image and printing it works fine, but if I view it in original resolution there is no "re-scale to fit page" performed. Please ask again if I need to clarify.

(note that step 2 is critical to the repro of this bug)

Note 1: My ubuntu version is gutsy gibbon and my screen resolution is 1280x800.

Note 2: The "Scale to fit" option is checked (under page setup) and it works just fine if I don't perform step 2 in the repro. My guess is that the problem is that the "scale to fit" printing algorithm doesn't take into account that the user have enlarged the image to its original size (step 2).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

I can confirm the above report with the same Firefox build on Ubuntu Gutsy.

I also have another example: only part of the image at http://alf.hubmed.org/biggmap.php?type=G_PHYSICAL_MAP&zoom=3 shows up in Print Preview.

I'm using Firefox 3.0 beta5 on Ubuntu 8.04.

I hope someone fix it soon.

Yes, XAANoOffscreenPixmaps is needed. We have that as default now in
