Bug Description
During upgrade received following errors:
1. installed systemd-shim package post-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 2
2. could not install '/var/cache/
3. Could not install upgrades - The upgrade has aborted your system could be in an unusable state. A recovery will run now (dpkg -configure -a)
4. The upgrade has completed but there were errors during the upgrade process
5. lsb_release -a resulted in Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Then no GUI when boot
So did:
sudo apt purge gdm gdm3
sudo apt install gdm3 ubuntu-desktop
systemctl restart gdm
And received:
The system is runnin in low graphics mode.....
But still no GUI
Then did:
sudo apt-get install lightdm
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
And then got a working GUI.
Then followed errors and request for bug report
