Bug Description

Dell Precision M90 - ipw3945 - Gutsy upgraded to Hardy alpha 2

I have always had a problem with WiFi disconnecting and then reconnecting as if due to inactivity. But with Hardy alpha 2, it won't reconnect.

Also, the kill switch seems to do nothing and the WiFi light does not light up at all. - This only relates to Hardy alpha 2. Feisty and Gutsy work fine.

Booting with Hardy's kernel gives an ACPI error just before the boot splash, but disappears too quickly to read it. Does not happen with previous kernels.

Apart from the WiFi LED, everything now works perfectly.

If the WiFi LED is your only remaining problem, this bug is now a duplicate of bug 176090.
