Just a fresh install of kubuntu 18.04.1, installer crashed after all user input was entered and packages were being installed.

Drive was partitioned btrfs.
Wiping the drive with dd: "sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda", and rebooting/ restarting the install solved the problem.
