Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

The install scripts for this package have an out-dated check sum for the adobe flash binary package. The package is being downloaded from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz, but this is the most recent version of flash which is now 9,0,115,0 instead of the 9.0.48.0 that the Ubuntu package seems to expect.

It seems to me that the package should be updated with the new checksum and changed to download the specific adobe package version instead of the most current one to avoid the problem in the future.

The install fails with the following message:

<CUT>

Download done.
md5sum mismatch install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
The Flash plugin is NOT installed.
</CUT>

I will attach a copy of the full output of aptitude.

I guess this is the same bug as #173890? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/gutsy/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/173890
The trouble with version 9.0.115.0 seems to be, that it doesn't work with konqueror...
I helped myself with the package sources from hardy and build a new package like described in the discussion to bug #173890. Works with firefox.
