Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.19 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

[ 98.528271] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd_usb_podhd

I bought that device when I used 14.04 KXStudio with kernel v3.14 and error was present there.
I start a thread at https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2385101. After Temüjin answer i install Ubuntu Release with kernel v4.15 - Kubuntu 18.04? but still no luck with POD HD500.

Maybe understanding how the configuration:interface:altsetting:endpoint is arranged on this usb device is helpful.

Could you please collect 2 logs:

1st: sudo su;cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices > devices.txt

2nd: lsusb -d 0e41:414d -v > lsusb-v.txt

Then upload these two logs.

thx.

It was

[ 165.844742] usb 1-1: selecting invalid altsetting 1

Now the altsetting is correct:
[ 183.317968] snd_usb_podhd 1-1:1.1: Line 6 POD HD500 found
[ 183.322074] snd_usb_podhd 1-1:1.1: Line 6 POD HD500 now attached

So it's a different issue if it still doesn't work.

Sorry for late answer. Still no luck with driver even on bare metal. Warning "config 1 interface 1 altsetting 0 bulk endpoint 0x1 has invalid maxpacket 64" still present. Now this driver creates two audio interfaces. Try to play through both by pulseaudio and alsa, no system freezing like in previous times but, no sound playing through phones on hdpod, and no sound recorded on notebook.
