Bug Description

Every time I boot my computer, I get an error stating that Shutter failed to start and do I want to restart the application (it offers to send a bug report at the same time).

When I manually start Shutter, it starts without any issues, and in fact has never given me any problems at all, apart from this annoying popup on computer power up or reboot.

I have looked through the preferences, but see no option to automatically start Shutter on reboot, otherwise I would disable this option. I don't need Shutter running when I start, and I only invoke Shutter as and when I need to.

I'm running Ubuntu Linux 18.04, which was upgraded from 16.04 recently, so perhaps the upgrade process has broken something, as I used to have Shutter running on 16.04 too. I am currently running Shutter version 0.94. All hardware is relatively modern (6th gen I7, gigabit Ethernet, GTX960 graphics etc.)

Thanks for an otherwise very good and very stable bit of software. I'll have to make a donation as I see on your website this is more glorious open source software too.

Looks like Shutter is in your desktop session startup list. You can remove it from there using the GUI of gnome-session-properties.

I've checked and only have 3 applications/packages that are started on bootup, and none of them are the Shutter program. I do however have Shutter pinned to the launcher bar.

I have to say that it happens a lot less often now, and in fact hasn't happened in about a week (with a daily power cycle). It could be that the problem is now gone, although just when I have thought that before, it pops up again... Time will tell.

Aside from this, the software works very well, so I keep using it regardless. Thanks again.
