darcs depends on non-existant libgmp3

Hi,

Had problems installing darcs on Breezy. Darcs depends on libgmp3 but it doesn't exist. There is a libgmp3c package, maybe it should depend on that instead?

the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.

darcs requires ghc6 to build, which currently has issues with gcc 4.x. We're waiting on the new release (6.4.1) of ghc to come out, before darcs & other haskell programs can be rebuilt.

Could anyone suggest a temporary workaround ? No darcs is becoming a problem for me..

Strangely simple workaround posted at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=320156 , just get the package from debian stable.

Yes, this is a workaround, but libgmp3c2 conflicts with libgmp3, so you wouldn't be able to have anything else that depends on libgmp3c2 installed
