Bug Description
I am able to scan text pages using simple scan but I cannot print them. I have tried opening them with libre writer and also straight from the desktop but I just can't print them out. This is frustrating for me because I use my scanner (stand alone and not combined with printer printer) The printer works fine with Mate otherwise.I only recently installed Mate for the first time because I do not like the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Unity was much easier to configure.

I do like Ubuntu Mate and I have installed the 'mutiny desktop but if I cannot get my scanner working it is no good for me. Maybe there is a better scanning apt I can install but easy scan is the only one I can find in the software downloads.
