Bug Description

I have noticed this while upgrade

sudo apt upgrade -y
[sudo] password for nisankh:

Than i tried to reinstall the same package :

Again it shows the same warning " dpkg: warning: version '/etc/lsb-release' has bad syntax: version number does not start with digit "

and the contents of /etc/lsb-release is as follows

cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=18.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=bionic
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS"
