Bug Description

Using Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.1 on System76 Galago Pro. When I first installed, didn't have any issues. About 2 days later I get a popup notification about the display being set to HiDPI mode and a prompt to set it to LoDPI for increased performance and compatibility. Regardless of wether I close the notification or switch modes, it continuously pops up. Disabling notifications in the system settings does not stop the popups. Even setting the screen resolution to 1920x1080 manually doesn't make a difference.

Think that is Intel graphics... is it?

I have no idea why a graphics driver would be issuing a notification

The other is the kernel. Again can't imagine that would be issuing a notification.

I can only think there is a gnome component doing this but no idea what.

Sorry not much help :(

This blog though talks about lodpi vs hidpi and notifications

So seems to be specific to your system76
