There is no way to configure using a netplan network as follows:
ip addr add 10.255.255.25/24 dev eth0
ip addr add 172.16.255.25/32 dev lo label lo:1
ip route add default via 10.255.255.254 src 172.16.255.25

I think this is a duplicate of LP: #1771021, let me know if I am wrong.

Hi, this is not a duplicate. in # 1771021 we are talking about aliases and several IPs. I wrote about the lack of possibility to change the IP source in the route.

Oh ok, I have unmarked it.

Is it possible to use the 'from' keyword in the route definition?

(It won't work at the moment because there is a bug in rendering which I've been meaning to report, but does the from keyword describe what you are trying to achieve?)
