Bug Description
1. Set Ubuntu MATE to use Marco as your compositor, with MATE Tweak
2. Set up some workspaces, and give them names, so that they appear in the "Send to another workspace" submenu when right-clicking on a window title bar
3. Switch compositor to Compiz, with MATE Tweak
4. Note that the right-click title bar menu has not changed; it still lists Marco workspaces even though they're not available
That would be a bug in itself, but then
5. Right click the title bar of a window of your choice and choose "Send to another workspace > ..." and pick one of the (now nonexistent) Marco workspaces to send it to
The window will then irretrievably vanish. Possibly the app that owns that window is killed, or the window at least is destroyed, but at least the window goes away and you can't get it back.
Ubuntu MATE 19.10 and onward default to Marco and Compiz is no longer shipped on the iso image. One reason for this change is to present a well-integrated default experience. Marco has received many improvements recently than mean Compiz is no longer required to erradicate screen tearing or improve gaming performance.
